DESCRIPTION OF PROJECT:

 

According to underground water pipe was damaged and consequently damage the underground pavement structure. Department of Highway (DOH) objected to determine the leakage and exact damaged water pipe location. Moreover, void detection under pavement structure was one of the project scopes of work to evaluate the repairing method and cost.

International Engineering Consultants Co., Ltd. (IEC) was awarded contract to carried out the project.  The works are including underground utility and void under pavement detection using Ground Penetration Radar (GPR) technique.

SCOPE OF SERVICES:

·         Void or pavement structure damage area due to the leakage of water from the damaged water pipe.

DESCRIPTION OF PROJECT:

The investigation site is located at stockpile area and mill area within Chatree Gold Mine. Some holes underneath the ground are discovered in during the preparation for construction of Production Plant Expansion Project. Consequently, the GPR survey is proposed to observe the void under the soil surface with course the large of settlement around this zone. The results of this type of survey are important for considering the method to protect the damage from that void.

DESCRIPTION OF PROJECT:

LDPE Project is located in Pha Deang Industrial Estate in Map Ta Phut, Rayong. It is being constructed.  Hyper and Booster Compressor Foundation is one of significant structure in the project. The foundation is considered as mat foundation sizing 18m wide x 22.5 long and 1.6 m thick with 1 m thick lean concrete.  This had been casted on January 24, 2009.  The CPAC Low heat type was used for casting.  It was informed that the formwork was taken out after casting date about 5 days.  Then a few days later, vertical cracks was found on foundation sides and also found crack on top of foundation running from side to other side of foundation. Therefore, Toyo Japan and Toyo-Thai Corporation PCL require a third party to review and verify structural stability and integrity of the foundation already built, and to provide rectification plan if necessary.

International Engineering Consultants Co., Ltd. (IEC), engineering firm specialized in engineering design as well as forensic investigation and strengthening design of civil engineering works is therefore performed the investigation of crack including crack location mapping and depth which would be required for further remedial work.

DESCRIPTION OF PROJECT:

Due to the enhance of truck load limited to 25 tons, it is possibly effect to the bridge structural. Thus, department of highway objected to carried out the bridge condition rating assessment and performed the bridge load test to determine the capacity of the slab type bridges. The destructive and non-destructive test was carried out in term of concrete strength determination using coring, Schmidt hammer, carbonation test. The structural condition survey and rating the slab type bridge also bridge load test at the area of Lobburi was awarded to International Engineering Consutlants Co.,Ltd and Tesco Co.,Ltd. One of the most well-known non-destructive methods to evaluate the bridge structural capacity is called “Bridge Diagnostic” by attached the most accuracy strain gauge in the significant bridge element. This non-destructive test has been carried out for 8 selected bridge which various condition to ensure the capacity of bridges.

DESCRIPTION OF PROJECT:

Cooling Tower is one among several buildings in PTTPE LLDPE project, Map Ta Phut, Rayong which is owned by Petroleum Authority of Thailand Polyethylene Co. Ltd. (PTTPE). This building is designed and constructed by Toyo-Thai Corporation Public Company Limited (TTCL). This building is a 10 storey reinforced concrete on piled foundation which is approximate dimension of 16.18 x 45.58 x 15.29 m located close to the sea shore. IEC is therefore awarded to performed the crack depth determination prior to perform repairing work.
