Bangkok Hospital is regarded as a hospital that has been trusted by the users continuously and the number is increasing every year. In the past year executives determined that the property was not sufficient for the increased number of customers, thus approving the budget for expanding the service area to accommodate more patients. The total area of 9,000 square meters will be constructed of 6 storey with 50 beds hospital.

 

SCOPE OF SERVICES:

The scope of works will include details of the foundation structure includes bored pile, barrette pile and diaphragm wall that will be constructed at New International Buildings Project. The mentioned foundation structure detail consisting of pile tip and reinforcement of bored pile, barrette pile and diaphragm wall. The construction sequences adopted for excavation are presented.

Myandawei Industrial Estate Company Limited (MIE) has received the concessionaire contract to develop Dawei Industrial Estate-Initial Phase from Myanmar government in Year 2014. The development will consist of many works. MIE is therefore looking for an engineering design consultant company to support the MIE development team. International Engineering Consultants Co., Ltd. (IEC) is one of engineering design consultant companies that has various engineering design experiences.

 

SCOPE OF SERVICES:

IEC understand that the scope of works will include various works in the industrial estate which could be divided as engineering design, engineering design review and endorsement, and provision of consultancy service during construction period to rectify the problem may arising during construction.   Specific scope of works could be as follows:

IEC would prepare the relevant documents including design drawings, design report and specifications, and initial cost estimation for tender submission.

DESCRIPTION OF PROJECT:

 

Ministry of public Health, Thailand objected to establish the center of recover and development of children. The project is located on high terrain of phuket. Therefore, the design of foundations needs to be significantly taken into account. The investigation was carried out to evaluate the suitable type of foundation on inclined ground to maintain natural terrain of the ground or for many reasons with conserving slope stability and implemented effectively to overcome failure problems.The soil investigation using both of geophysical exploration and soil boring were carried out for more accuracy of foundation design, less time consuming and consequently lead to project cost saving. In addition, minimized the problem during construction period is one of the main advantages.

Siam kornkij Company Limited, appointed IEC for soil investigation, pile foundation design. After investigation, both of shallow and pile foundation on rock (Bored pile) is needed to be adopted in the project. As designed, 1.5m rock socket pile is need to be constructed and IEC therefore is awarded as contractor which capable to install this type of pile foundation on rock using the specific method called down-the hole hammer lead to less time consume and successfully constructed as project requirements. 

 

SCOPE OF SERVICES:

Geotechnical and Geophysical investigation were carried out. In addition, the geological mapping of rock in project was determined. The geophysical (Resistivity Imaging) was carried out as preliminary prior to perform the soil boring and rock coring in the project. Then, the investigation results of resistivity imaging and soil boring was correlation to determine the geotechnical design parameters. Foundation design and construction of pile foundation on rock using down-the-hole hammer is adopted.

DESCRIPTION OF PROJECT:

 

The trees samui project is located at Samui Island on the high terrain area. Design Consultancy services have been called for the proposed development.  In order to develop the project, the slope stability analysis, design of retaining structure, cut and fill work is required.  The slope failure should be remedied and stabilize to reduce risk, eliminate future accident and loss of life and property. Investigation to obtain the information of soil underneath throughout the project area is become significantly important in term of more accurate design and also project cost reduction. Therefore, geophysic and soil investigation were carried out to find the best solution solve the stability problem and foundation of building. Anjana Company Limited appointed IEC to perform the geophysical exploration to obtain essential data for further geotechnical design work.


SCOPE OF SERVICES:

Totally, 13 lines of 2D Geophysical (Resistivity Imaging) explorations investigation and also 9 nos of soil boring were carried out. After interpretation of data, the cross section of structure from the master plan shall be overlay into the interpretation data to obtain the project overview in term of foundation and also earth work.
