DESCRIPTION OF PROJECT:

BMA decided to extend the elevated railway BTS from Aoun Nuch to Soi Sukhumvit 107.  The extension length is 5.25 kilometers. The design and construction of Bangkok Transit System Extension (BTSE) project was awarded to Italian-Thai Development Public Co., Ltd. (ITD) on a turn-key basis.

During construction of track plinth, it was found that the discontinuity of concrete supporting track plinth which possibly cause of malfunction and consequently effect to safety of public use. The non destructive testing (NDT) which adopted ultrasonic pulse velocity (UPV) to determine concrete work quality.

SCOPE OF SERVICES:

·         Non destructive Testing using ultrasonic pulse velocity (UPV) to determine concrete discontinuity under track plinth.
